Prayer & Fasting

21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Every January for 21 Days

January 9-29, 2023

Northpark is committed to beginning the new year with 21 days of prayer and fasting.  This spiritual practice helps us begin our new year with a focus on God and what he wants for us individually and as a church.

Many churches in the Fresno and Clovis area have also committed to this practice as well and we are excited to partner with them for our Fasting events. For more information about what fasting is all about, see our resources below. We hope you’ll join us!

Book: Revival Starts Here: A Short Conversation on Prayer, Fasting, and Revival for Beginners Like Me by Dave Clayton

“I feel closer to God than ever… have trusted the Lord all my life, but never as much as I have in the past few months.”

“I felt that there was a greater sense of peace in my home.”

“I quit smoking!!! Yeah… God is great!”

“God showed me how much I can really get done for Him and my family when I don’t let media get in the way.”

“Every year’s fast gets better. The extra time with God is so valuable, in terms of direction and introspection. I wonder ‘why does it take a church wide fast? Why don’t I live like this all year long?’”

“I was tempted a lot but was blessed by the extra time and the calmness that came from this. I also felt like I became more organized and was able to time manage better when I didn’t have the technology thing going on.”

“It was amazing how God helped me realize that with Him, I can give up something that seems hard to live without and let go of control [in other areas of life]. LET OTHERS IN! With God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!”

Resources for Other Churches

Fresno / Clovis Prays

Fresno Prays is a prayer movement covering Fresno and Clovis California in 24/7 prayer.

As part of the ‘America Prays’ movement, churches all over Fresno and Clovis have committed to a specific day of the month to cover our city in prayer.

Northpark Community Church has committed to praying on the 12th of every month, with individuals taking 30 minute time slots.

Will you join us in prayer? Will you stand in the gap for your community? You can pray from wherever you are!
