THIS MONTH’S SPEAKER

Please join us in welcoming our speaker:

Pastor Candi Maur

Children’s Ministry Pastor at Northpark Community Church

Scripture: Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

About Candi: God made it very clear and evident to Candi that she is to “empower others to enjoy and receive the love of our LOVING GOD in their daily lives and have FUN doing it.”

While working for over 25 years as a sales executive, owning her own small business and serving as executive director of a non-profit organization, she volunteered teaching and working with children and families in the church.

Twelve years ago, God had another plan for her that led her into full time ministry at Northpark Community Church as the Children’s Ministry Pastor. Now, not only does she work with children, families, and volunteers, but she is a speaker at Women’s retreats and special events sharing how the JOY of the LORD can be their strength.

“Are We Having Fun Yet?”
A phrase inspired by her late mother, has been one her whole family leans on when times have been tough. That phrase is one that immediately brings thoughts of where is God in this and help me see what you are doing God in the midst of this storm.

Through her own personal stories of some not so joyful times, she will share that you can find JOY and have FUN doing it when you have God in the middle of whatever you are dealing with. With God in it, then you can answer that question and say YES…we are having fun!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Each month we highlight a ministry in our community and ask our ladies attending to join us in providing some of the needs of the highlighted ministry.

This quarter we are excited to partner with “The Light-House Women’s Recovery Center.

The Light-House Women’s Recovery Center provides hope, help and healing for women recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. Women’s lives are being transformed, and their children’s lives are being transformed. As many of you know their beautiful historic home burnt down in 2021, but through it all God’s provision, community support, a lot of prayer and hard work the day is soon approaching that their new home will be ready to open the doors and continue this life changing, faith based ministry bigger and better. Won’t you join us in showering them with some of the needs?

We are asking for donations of:

  • Toilet paper (Costco brand preferred)
  • Paper towels
  • Kleenex
  • Laundry soap
  • Cleaning products
  • Gift cards or monetary donations to purchase other necessities

We will be collecting for this ministry during November and December.

Anyone who donates towards this ministry will have their name entered in a drawing to win a beautiful Christmas Quilt made by Pamela Anderson.

Also, come and be blessed to hear all that is to come as God opens these new doors for The Light-House Women’s Recovery Center.
