About Krystal

At 19 years old, Krystal Oquist was forced to choose between Jesus and her family. Her decision was solid; she followed Jesus with all her heart, soul, and talents. She found herself in ministry under the leadership of Rich and Robyn Wilkerson at Trinity Church in Miami, Florida, where she met her future husband, DJ. In November of 2022, they moved to Fresno, California, for DJ to take a position as associate pastor at Peoples Church. Krystal continues serving alongside her husband, focusing on young women and couples ministry. She is dedicated to seeing people come to know the Lord and take the next steps on their faith journey. As the mother of two young children, Krystal balances the joys and challenges of a growing family with a deep commitment to her faith and community.

Krystal is excited to share her testimony of God working in her life and bringing good out of the most challenging situations. Even in moments where giving up seemed easier, the strength of the Lord got me through. I learned that I can be triumphant even in the midst of a trial!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

 Note from Aubrey with Youth For Christ:

I have invested in teens for 6 years at Youth For Christ. Through the past several months, God has opened doors for me to focus more intentionally on our young women. These teen girls are the future leaders and have so much to offer. They are smart, funny, brave, curious, and afraid. This world can be scary and they are actively seeking adults who truly care about them and their stories.

People who want to listen and walk WITH them. Running programs like this require funds for staffing, supplies, trips, food, etc.

I am looking for at least 12 women to give $50/month in a campaign to raise $7,200 per year to support this ministry to young women.

Other ongoing needs for YFC WITH (Women Investing in Teen Hope):

• Snacks for outings with girls
• Gift cards for places like Starbucks, Dutch Bros., Chick-Fil-A (to treat the girls when we meet to connect)
• Hobby Lobby, Costco or Amazon gift cards for purchasing supplies for meetings, crafts and meals

Anyone who brings a donation or donates (cash, Check or Credit Card) towards this ministry will have their name entered in a drawing to win a beautiful Quilt made by Jeanne Starks.
