THIS MONTH’S SPEAKER:
“Changing the Lens”
Rodney Lowery is a former member of the Selma Police Department and the Fresno Police Department. He worked undercover in narcotics, K9, the Violent Crime Suppression Unit (VCSU), and the Fresno SWAT Team.
Rodney has a BA in Bible and Theology from California Christian College and a Master’s from Multnomah University. He is currently working on his doctorate in psychology at California Southern University.
Rodney accepted the position of senior chaplain at the Fresno Police Department. In that position, he saw opportunities to reimagine how calls for service coming through dispatch could be handled, especially calls involving children and families exposed to trauma.
In 2019 the Resiliency Center powered by the Chaplaincy was launched. Two years later, the Resiliency Center became it’s own nonprofit, which Rodney leads.
He is passionate about challenging the early effects of trauma through a proactive and timely response to a crisis.
Rodney is happily married to Lana, and together they have three adult children.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Each month we highlight a ministry in our community and ask our ladies attending to join us in providing some of the needs of the highlighted ministry.
This Month we would like to continue to support The Resiliency Center.
The Resiliency Center aims to disrupt and heal emotional and generational trauma.
We can be a part of supporting this ministry by helping with a few of their everyday needs:
- Fidget toys
- Soft blankets
- Rocks (smooth) with encouraging words
- Silly putty
- Weighted blankets
- Children’s books teaching about emotions
- Jewelry with positive words
- Children and Adult coloring books
Financial gifts are also very much appreciated, checks should be made out to The Resiliency Center.
