Northpark values its ‘seasoned citizens.’ We recognize that many who still attend were instrumental in the foundation of Northpark as a church ‘plant’ in 1988. We also recognize that the older generation has the privilege and responsibility to pray for and be examples and teach the younger generation the life that Christ desires of them. Here are some opportunities to get involved specifically for you!
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many opportunities for older adults to lend their life experience and wisdom to the younger generations both here at Northpark and in the community.
Here at Northpark, we would welcome your involvement in children, youth, or young adult ministries – weekly or as you are available. If you have extra time on your hands and are available to help with office tasks, let us know! Contact us to find out more about volunteer opportunities at Northpark.
For community volunteer opportunities, a great start would be to contact any of the organizations that we partner with listed here.
New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a group of single ladies or ladies who worship alone. We have a quarterly luncheon with speaker and special music. Our many activities include Roger Rocka’s, Second Space, movie nights, Christmas boutiques, fashion shows, and benevolent activities. Our group includes many ladies from other churches. We invite you to join us! Check the women’s ministry page for details on upcoming events.
Primetimers Breakfast
1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m.
Denny’s Restaurant (Willow/Shaw)
This group is for those in their senior years and enjoy meeting for a time of eating and encouragement with others. We have breakfast followed by a devotional and prayer for needs. For more information about Primetimers, contact Pastor Bob Fuller.
Adults in Action
Adults in action is group of people here at Northpark Church around 50+ years old. If you have never been to one of our functions, please come – this is your group! We generally meet twice a year – in August for our annual ice cream social and in December for our Christmas dinner. Check the calendar page for details on these events. For more information about Adults in Action contact Pastor Bob Fuller.
House Churches
Several of our house churches that meet weekly in homes are geared towards older adults. Please see our House Church listing for more information on those groups.
